What are the chances of this being my lost Pekin

We have (had) 3 Pekins free range on our property. We have 3 fairly large ponds and they go between 2 of them. About a month ago one went missing. There were no signs of an attack, we heard nothing...no loud quacking and my window faces where they typically stay and the dogs had no reaction. She was just gone. For awhile I thought she had found a good hiding spot to nest but couldn't find anything. My husband was driving by the town yesterday. There is a mill pond about a mile away from us with a couple swans and geese and he saw a Pekin there. We have never seen a Pekin there in the years that we have lived here. There are swamps and rivers etc along the back way to the mill pond so even though it's a mile by car it's probably not as far a back way. Do you think it's possible? Has anyone ever had a Pekin wander like that?

3 horses, 4 dogs, 5 barn cats, 2 ISA browns, 3 Pekins...and a flock of Canadian Geese that decided to have their babies here

Could be.  I don't have Pekins but I don't see why she  could not have wandered that far.

DOGS: 4 Shih Tzu, 1 Papillon, 1 Great Pyrenees

CHICKENS: 1 BO, 2 EE, 2 WLH, 10 blue and splash JG, plus various aged JG, BO, JG/BO and JG/EE chicks, and 8 meaties.

DUCKS: 20 Muscovy ducks: 5 adults, 7 juveniles and 8 ducklings.  6 Pekin ducklings

Some threads started with basic info.

I'd go and call to her if you had her awhile she may remember your voice. she could have followed the river and couldn't figure out how to get back. {ducks aren't the smartest birds in the barn yard} I hopwe you can bring her home.  fl.gif
