I am auctioning off a white/Columbian Marans cockerel.
This cockerel is really a friendly, nice bird. He could easily be tamed and taught to come for food. I have kept him considering using him, but I have no hens that would work with him. Maybe I can get someone else started in this color, and that would make me feel happy that I could help.
I ordered another color, but when he hatched, he turned out to be white. I kept him kind of expecting him to change to a muted shade, but he is still a Columbian. And then I hoped he would be a hen, but he is getting bright red waddles so I'm pretty sure he's a rooster. He is purebred Marans. And he is about three months old.
I will ship to anywhere; however, I take Paypal, and I must receive it up front.
I will charge you shipping at cost plus $5 (for my gas to get to the post office--we live out of town.)
Please consider insurance on this bird in case things go wrong. I've shipped several birds in the past, and nothing has gone wrong, but I will not accept a return.
I have no idea what he is worth, but this is an auction. Please bid on him accordingly. (This is my very first auction, so I hope I did this right.)
