I'm not sure they're  the same breed. The one on the right looks like a generic production red hen, the one on the left looks to have a more partridge-ish color. Better pic would help.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

Will try for a better pic tomorrow.  Also, they actually look more orange than brown...

The one on the right looks like a Rhode Island Red, the one on the left looks the same but I'm not sure. smile.png

Yes, I'd say those are Production hens after what I have learned from BYC.  I have three of them.  Two of mine have some white on their tails.  The third is all red.  Thanks to BYC for the breed info.  I was confused.  Couldn't figure out if they were RI hens or NH Reds.  Come to find out they are a mix of both as a Production.  I like mine lots.  They are pretty smart and love treats.  They are rather calm and easy to handle.  Enjoy those pretty girls of yours.

I'm pretty sure they're not RIRs, I have a RIR already and she's a much darker red.  The color looks similar to that of the GSLs...

ETA: They also look similar to the New Hampshire

Yeah, kind of a generic red hatchery bird. Production red, cherry egger, etc.
