My black rooster!!!!

I've got this black rooster he is a beuatiful boy

but i am woried that over my lighter coloured chooks all the chicks will turn out black instead

of colours like my hensi dont want to get rid of him because he is a cutie but

i dont want only black chicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!barnie.gif

well it depends on the color of the hen he breeds with some time the lighter color hens will have a stronger genes and the chicks will take the hens color ar at least a little darker since the rooster is black.

 

example: black rooster X Buff orpington = a rhode island red color

thanks cos if they only come out black ill sell him and get a lighter coloured cock!

Of course you could always keep him, collect your eggs daily and eat them, and buy some eggs to hatch when you want more chooks.
