seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

he's a mix no telling what is in his background...i am thinking that he had a barred mom (more than likely a barred rock) with a white leghorn dad due to the white on his ear lobes only thing is his legs dont look that yellow...

My leghorns legs are not yellow, not as yellow as my rocks anyway. My first thought was Leghorn for sure. He is a light barred whatever because roos carry 2 copies of the barring gens so they are lighter than a pullet. My guess is he has a lot of leghorn in him.

Any pure barred roo (two barred parents) is lighter than a hen with two barred parents. There's no "light" and "dark", really.

I totally see the leghorn. Sorry, there is no Rock in that bird. Way too light, too much comb, too upright.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

I have 2 Wheaton Ameraucana pullets(Fluffy and Cleo) and 1 Blue Wheaton Ameraucana pullet (Lily) , 2 Showgirls chicks one Buff Columbian(Ji ji),and one Silver Partridge(???) both pullets, a Production Red pullet(Erica), a SlashLRW pullet(???), a Blue LF cochin pullet(Blueberry), and a Sliver Spangled Hamburg Pullet (Pepper).
