First timmer from Te Kauwhata New Zealand

Thread Starter

Hi there fellow chickeners.

I am new to the whole chicken thing, I have 10 Brown Shavers and 3 Black Bantams. My family and I have been wanting to do this for along time we finally have the ground to do it on. So here we are.

I have set up a large chicken run with two chicken coops in it, Now I am building a larger one. Today we got our first eggs, seeing as though we only got the chickens two days ago we were very happy. I have a lot to learn and am open to any help that may come my way.

Thanks

Colin

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan big_smile.png

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
