It's an algae scraped. You run the water over a seive type device and the algae gets stuck to it. Then all you do is clean the seive off.

fur, can you further describe?  Can you provide a link to this item?  Or a brand name?  I have not heard of such a thing, and it sounds most useful!

SPECIALIZING IN:  Jersey Giants.  Black Copper Marans.  Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks.  Isbars.  Click to view my website.

Just for fun:  First & second generation "olive eggers," and a few ducks - Welsh Harlequin, Black Swedish, Black Runner.

I can't take full credit for this as I got it out of the Duck-ponics thread but here's a link.

I'd like to add that when I saw it in the thread (didn't search too hard for it as I'm lazy like that) they had the algae scrubber in a "bucket" outside of the pond. The water was pumped onto the scrubber and then the water went back into the pond.

I've got one for my pond right now. i went to a hardware store in the painting section. They have these metal things for using rollers in the big buckets. I bought one and have it inside of a plant pot.
