We have AT&T. We've been with them for over 10 years with no problems, until now. We have alays had Motorola phones and this time we bought Samsung. Should have read the reviews on this phone befor we bought it. It's rated as extremely poor for reception. What makes me madder than he** is that I told the sales girl that I didnt care what else the phone did, all I need is to be able to make and recieve calls and of course she gave me a really great sales pitch about how amazing this phone is for reception!!! Whatever. Won't be dealing with that store again!

Thanks for trying to help though :).

So excited abou the meet in Lovells as that is where the family cabin is.  The pavillion is nice and it has a great playground for the kids.  I may have a  pic of the playground but I'm not sure if I have one of the pavillion.  I will have to search on another computer for it.

The campground at Shupac lake is rustic.  The beach is small and nice but the water in Shupac Lake is even too cold to swim in in late July.  Its a beautiful lake, clear and deep.  I don't think any motors can be used on it though, if someone wanted to fish.

Our cabin needs lots of work as in mowing grass nad dead tree trimming but if we are there for the CS anyone could come set their camer up.  We don't have electricity there at this time as a tree fell on the line to the cabin and we are going to need a licensed electrician to help us fix it.  Horses would also be welcomed if you want to picket them.  There is a snowmobile trail 1/4 mile down the road that goes into Gaylord.  We have taken our horses up any number of times just to ride.

My hubby is llaid off from his job now so we would probably go up early if anyoen wanted to join us.

I can be reached at 810-706-0036 if you have any questions.

Laura

ps. We have an empty 2 car garage if anyone staying wanted to put their livestock in there.

Here are the pics of the Township hall and park.  In the first pic you can just barely make out the roofline of the pavillion on left, behind big tree (at least I think thats the pavillion).

Here is coming into Lovells on 612.  The township complex is on the right on another road that veers off.

The 3 corners in downtown Lovells.

There is a gas station/convenience store and bar/resturant in pic.  Across the street not in pic is another bar.  Turning to the right is the family cabin just down a few places.  Its within walking or bike riding to the township hall. Its about 1/2 mile maybe a mile at most.

OMG! I miss lovells! Lol! This is the first year in a long time that we havent spent at least a month of our summer up there. Thank you SO much for posting pics. and SO much for your offer!! I am sick right now so if I were to try to call you, assuming I could get my phone to work, you would not be able to understand me and there is no way I could hear you. This stinks!!! So, as soon as I am fully functioning I will get ahold of you. I think I am just going to have to break down and plan a day where I can go into town so that I can sit in the park and call you and Opa. The cell signal has been so terrible out here lately that I can't even get ahold of my doctor he.gif. SO FRUSTRATING!! So, just so everyone knows, I am NOT blowing anyone off!! I'm just sick somad.gif. I HATE BEING SICK!!!!!

What is going on?  I have been seeing a homeopathic gal for 2 yrs now and I feel so much better...even with the Fibramyaglia.  I also see a gal that does deep tissue massage.  She has been going in and opening up my lymph nodes or adrinal glands or something like that and getting things to drain better.  Not sure what I just know that I feel so much better .  Its so nice not being sick.

Anish,

Hubby is talking about going to the cabin this week.  I'm not sure I want to go or not.  If we could meet it might encourage me to come up.

I am planning on coming up.  I am in Manistee, looks like about 3 hrs.  I am new to Michigan and do not even have my own birds yet.  I am trying to hatch some duck and chick eggs now.  My biggest question is I travel with dogs, will I have any problems having them at the park or campground?

Welcome Herducks.  welcome-byc.gif

I'm pretty close to you, just 20 minutes East in Brethren.  It's my first year with my flock, and I have learned a lot on this site and the Michigan thread.  Come over and follow along ...

Thanks for the info!! I am starting to feel a bit better now :). My ears are still crackling like crazy though, grrrrr!!! Oh, please try to convince me to take a trip to Lovells. Lol!! Let me know when you want to meet and I'll come up. If I'm lucky, maybe I can get Myke (my husband) to come with :). I am no longer contageous since I have been on antibiotics for almost a week. I try to quarrantine myself when I'm sick because it infurriates me when people come around me when they are sick! It wouldnt be that big a deal, but I'm on immunosupression therapy for RA, so I get sick pretty easily if I'm not careful. So, I would never knowingly expose anyone to any kind of crud.

Just let me know what you want to do. I don't have anything planned this week and it looks like the weather is going to be amazing. Not to mention, since I am starting to get my sense of taste back, I have been craving Lovell's Tavern's "Riverside Burgers" ;), Lol!!

I know the campground will be fine, let me check about the park. I need to give a call up there anyway, so I'll find out. I can't immagine anyone would have a problem with it as long as nothing gets left behind, lol! What kind of dogs do you have?
