Sex of these Reeve Golden Amherst ? - Page 2

Hey Tony,

You said to look to see if there is a teardrop and I went out to look at my female LA at their eyes and they have small teardrops under them. So I don't understand? I will take a pix of her if I need to but I have a couple of chicks and would like to figure out if they are males or females. I only have females so I can't compare my females to the males.

Or if anybody else breeds LA will you let me know

Hi Patty,

The hens shouldn't have a teardrop,just the males.How many are you looking for?I have at least 15 amherst,but I can't sex them yet.Yes post a pic of them and we'll see if we can sex them.

Hi Tony,

I have the 2 yr old female that has it under her eyes that is why I was asking. I also have 6 chicks that I have no idea what they are. I will post pix of them all.

The 2 year old amherst hen,has she been with a male in the last year?How many hens are in with her?

Yes she has been witht his male since I bought them from a breeder in CA. They are the only ones in the pen.
