heat lamp on baby chicks

Will baby chicks go to sleep with the heat lamp on 24 hrs a day. Chickens seem to go to bed when it is dark or when their mother hen sets on them?

They will sleep when they fell like it, which is pretty often while they are tiny! Don't worry and welcome-byc.gif

Definitely not a problem.  Just like human babies, they love to eat, sleep and poop.

Especially if you use a red bulb.  The red seems to an effective color for brooding.
