Anyone want to guess how many?!
Most people come home with seashells from the seashore....are there Campines in there? what are the ones with the bright red in the upper center? ...and at least 2 dozen is my guess!
I brought home two gallon size zip-lock bags full of shells.
Believe it or not, they are all Campines! I get lots of variety in my chicks' coloration. The redheaded ones are likely Golden Campines, although I am not supposed to get any with this batch. I included some SLW blood in my line a generation or two ago, and I get some..... shall we say........'interesting' birds from time to time. Look at the one in the center right! It is definitely silver but doesn't look very Campine-ish, yet.
I have not counted them, yet, but I will tell you that there were 48 in the tray when I left for the beach. My DH and DS#3 stepped up and took care of business. They got a better hatch rate than I usually get.
Any more guesses? Anyone?
