CC my dad's hands were like your dads fingers like sausages! His would crack and bleed in the winter he had to keep Vaseline on them in the winter.

Oh Ron that's sad. I hope you get checked regularly.

My dh's brother passed from prostate cancer so my dh has to get checked every other year.

I had my PSA tested last summer--It was nice and low--no change from the last test.

Alaskan

Crawling about in the season of drifts of snow, buckets of ice, freezing cold, getting brighter every minute, and way crazier than usual.

I'm sorry you have such cold, ice, snow!

I used to love to go up to Big Bear every spring to get snowed in! That was my favorite vacation.

Hi everyone. Took a few days off and feeling more myself now.  Besides every one suffering from rotten winter weather, how are y'all doin?

I just took my flock out a half dozen apples that were going soft, cleaved them in half, nuked them in the microwave for 5 minutes and took them out to the coop for the chickens  to enjoy. Seeing one of my Sept OEGB youngsters running around with half of a pancake I also gave them was worth a chuckle that I well needed.

No snow here, no freezing rain. Just bone chilling cold until Saturday when there is a chance of snow. I'd rather have snow than cold and or Ice. Ice is yucky.

Oh Oh!

Not what I meant to quote... but I have sausage fingers and toes, for the official BYC record. No tattoos, never, ever. Both my ears are pierced multiple times, but overgrown and likely couldn't force an earring through them even if I had to clean up for court.

The coldest weather on the planet on Thursday? Thanks for the chuckle but I just did a doublecheck and we're going to be 19 as a high that day, so at least it's double digits. The low will only be -3. That doesn't seem too bad. That's still t-shirt weather.

My homemade suet is ready to skim and make, I'll be getting to that right after dinner. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I have to get needle piercing, guns don't work for me. I wanna get my lobes re-pierced for the 3th time, then possible get a piercing on a pressure point in the ear that helps with headaches.

I am looking into fake nose piercing to see how I like the feel and if I can handle it in my vision lol.png

I know that tattoos and piercings are becoming more popular but I do urge you to think about your future when you do things like this. I realized, luckily early enough, that I wanted "a good job" and that I was being looked over for jobs because of the my appearance. I changed my appearance when it mattered and I'm glad I did.

It's a lesson that's hard to learn. You're still you inside, regardless of how you look on the outside.

And while I employ amazing people that work really hard I did have to explain to my boss why I hired someone with a neck tattoo, someone with earrings all the way up both ears, and someone with a face piercing.

Unfortunately, it still matters.

Obviously you will do whatever you want, and that's your choice, but I thought I'd throw this out there.

understandable and I have actually ask my special someone the exact some question when they were looking at doing a large tattoo (nothing offensive but none the less) and they said they are going to do farrier work and that has less stigma with tattoos and piercings. My mom who worked in a high end job had already told me about this which had help me decide on where to put the tattoo, somewhere I can easily hide it if need be. I plan on going into welding, but I don't plan on having a dozen piercings gig.gif there only a select few I want and even then I may use the "fake" stuff since it equals no stabbing hide.gif
