I got this chicken and I just cannot figure out what type it is.  Please let me know.  This chicken is about 48 weeks old. It is red.  Also...I am wondering about the gender of the barred rock in these top two pictures.  Any ideas please let me know!

Here are some more picture of the chicken. We know that it is a male and he likes to be in his coop and play in the chicken feed.

head poking in is an ee, next im not sure in the 2nd pic it looks like a buff brahma, behind her is a mille d'uccle, the barred rock is a rooster, looks like a white poodle in front of him,  the next might be a blue breasted red oegb rooster, next is a buff chicken (silkie mix) , then there is a buff silkie, now the one in red looks like himm a rir maybe and i'm sure he will be handsome(wink.png). i'm not quite sure which one you were asking about so i did them all (please let me know if i'm wrong about any of the breeds please)

thumbsup.gif I agree on all except for the one you said might be a blue breasted red oegb rooster. That one I believe is probably a cochin mix. Maybe a oegb/cochin. smile.png

I have 18 chickens, one kitten, 3 dogs, 2 hermit crabs, and live on 20 acres in the country. I am CrAzY about chickens and plan on getting more! I am continually working to better my chicken practices and to better my flocks.

Oh no...You think FAT GIRL the Barred rock is a boy... It is about 17 weeks old and it is the only full size of the chickens in the picture.  They are hatchery quality.  It is supposed to be a girl.  I was guaranteed a girl and 2 of the 4 are already roosters.  So I hope and hope that you are wrong about fat girl!
