4 chickens not eating their feed....???

We got back from vacation last week to a bunch of starving chickens although they were out in the yard eating whatever they eat. I went and bought feed 2 days later and they are not eating it much. They eat all the treats I give them and are constantly eating in the yard but, I am not seeing their feed disappearing. I went and bought another kind yesterday, same results.

Is it too hot? 95 feels like 105 ? Or are they just content to eat dirt/bugs/plants? They have been eating very well all along until now...don't want to loose another one. Any ideas?

Chickens are finicky sometimes.  If they eat the special stuff you give and still graze about, they'll have little interest in the feed sometimes, especially if it is new to them.  Lay off the bonus stuff, scratch, table food, and the like and they'll likely eat more their feed, if that is what you want them to do.

Mine eat less feed when I let the have a couple of hours out in the yard.  They dig up all manner of things in the flower beds.
