BOB WHITES BUNCHING UP--WHY

Thread Starter

What make bobs bunch up, had 24 smashed by the rest this morning, they are 2 weeks old, plenty of room and heat source, really weird. HELP

If they are "Piling" then they are either too cold, or your brooder is too small and they are competing to get to the heat.

They like to bunch up when sleeping.  It would be a good idea to separate them to bunches of 8-10 to prevent loosing more birds.

The previous poster may be correct too. Heat is too low.
