Could anyone give us help in sexing our 7 week old Gold Laced Orpington Bantam please. We've searched the internet to no avail. Thanks in advance :-D

Hi I have some gold laced orp bantam chicks nearly 7 weeks old now and one of them looks exactly like yours. Did you find out what sex it is? All 3 of mine have noticeable combs and two of them are looking pale pink color and wattles are small but pinking too, does that mean they are roos? also the other two chicks their feathering is still patchy and appears tro be more golden than black... :O

With mine when they were about 7 weeks I did the "hat test" I seen online. I took a hat and while the chickens were all together you drop the hat on the ground by them and the hens will kind of squat down or move away and the rooster is suppose to pop his head up. It worked for me also i noticed early on that my roo kind of struted when he walked compared to the hens. His comb also developed alot faster than any of the hens.
