So getting finally going to be getting my roll-out nest boxes done. My eat eating situation has slowed, I think yesterday now one was broke. I got 27 eggs, where I had been getting as low as 15 and as high as 20 with lots of egg eating evidence. Anyways - my carpenter father-in-law needs to know how much slope to make the nest area. I told him 3 inches. The back being elevated 3 inches higher than the front. Is this too much or not enough? The eggs will roll but I'm worried about when a few eggs have been collected in one nest box, them bumping into each other to hard and cracking.
