Help sex two Polish frizzles?

Thread Starter

Here are a couple of four and a half month old Polish frizzles.  The white one is the smartest chicken in our yard, always the first to know when food is coming or the first to work out how to escape etc.  The blackish one is the bottom of the pecking order but has a lovely temperament.  It gets carried around by our toddler quite a lot. smile.png  We're hoping for hens as we have a nasty neighbour who complains the second that he hears a crow and we are not allowed to keep roosters in our suburb.

I'm definitely no expert but I would say that the white one is a pullet and the brown one is a roo.... But I'm not sure!

Mark 11:22-23

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

I think that the comb would be much bigger and the poof much crazier if it were a roo...I wish I had a picture of my frizzled polish roo...he is hysterical looking!

I will have to get a picture of my polish roos...they have much bigger combs and wattles at 18 weeks old...that golden laced looks like a pullet at POL.  I guess we will have to wait and see :)

I will get back and report on this thread when we find out....can't be too long now I hope :-)

They are not particularly pure bred polish as far as I know - the white one has four toes on one foot and five on the other. hmm.png

That's the first time I've ever heard "Polish" and "Smart" in the same sentence gig.gif

I say both are pullets. smile.png
