Is this an Ameraucana?

We got this chick about a week ago during a trip to the feed store for some feed smile.png  The lady at the store said it was an Ameraucana but she seemed unsure.  She said she was about 2 months old.  There were at least a dozen others of the same coloring and size so I am assuming they were all from the same breeder/hatchery.  So what do you think?  I so want some blue eggs!  After looking online I was thinking maybe Blue Wheaten, but I have not really seen any pictures that looks just like her which  got me wondering.  She is super super sweet, we just love her!

she has slate colored legs, and you can see the greyish beard starting to puff out already (i love it!)

her "underside" is grey/blue, but her chest is the mixed color

Chances are, you should get blue eggs from her, still, even though she's an EE.  She's beautiful!

Pretty Easter Egger, not Ameraucana.

I thought that Easter Eggers and Americanas (or is it Ameraucana?) were the same breed. hmm.png

I have 2 cats, 1 Golden Retriever, 2 gold fish, and now 16 chickens! :)

Tough Cookie (T.C.) Cleo, at 6 weeks old, died in April 2012. Kanaliha Cleo, at 9 weeks old, died on May 14, 2013. Both were EE's. They are greatly missed.

Okay, hate to throw this out there but I thought you might want to know. I can't really see her comb that well but, in the last picture she looks kind of boyish. I say this because of how the color is kind of spotty, don't get me wrong it is beautiful just not sure of the sex. Does the comb have 3 rows or one. If it is a boy you probably can see three rows and if you can see three rows is is definitely a boy.

Oh yea, your baby is an EE. Blue egg gene all the way. big_smile.png
