Thanks for sharing! Are they still hatching? I'm going into lockdown tomorrow too.

Candled and started lockdown today.  A couple looked a bit less developed than the majority and one air cell looked a tad small.  Other than that, everything looks good.  Bumped RH up to 65%.  Got some rockin' and a rollin' starting.

Bantam Cochin, Quail Belgian Bearded D'Anver, Speckled Sussex, 2 Cocker Spaniels

2 araucana cross maran chicks

1 copper black maran chick (left) & 1 wheaten maran chick (right)

2 mystery chicks, some sort of maran cross

3 mystery chicks, maran cross as well. Chick in the bottom right corner has feathered feet and the only hens who have feathered feet in our laying pen are our silkie and 3 dark brahma girls idunno.gif

They are adorable!

I went into lockdown last night with only 5 Silkies eggs left, and a couple of those I am unsure of.  My daughter tapped some of them, and one tapped back.  Another one she said she heard it peep - not sure if she was imagining things.  We will see....

Omigosh! So cute! I'm curious how the crosses will turn out.

I just locked down, too. I candled a few days ago, so I didn't do it again. Got a notification that the chicks I ordered have shipped, also. I'm getting antsy -- can't wait for some more little fluffballs!

I can't believe how much of a nervous wreck I am. I'm not sure if today, tomorrow or the day after is day 21, because I didn't write down what day we started, and didn't mark the calendar for due date. Whoops! And to top it off my eggs are under a broody so its really hard to check on them. I checked them on Saturday and every thing seemed fine. Now I'm doing everything I can to let nature take its course. It's so hard!

To top it off, I have a sick 4 week old chick. He's sneezing and has a runny eye. So far it doesn't seem to have passed to any of the other chicks so he and a buddy are in a cage in the house. I know that having a buddy could mean two sick chicks, but I couldn't let him be scared and alone. I'm going to get him some vitamins and maybe meds at the feed store tomorrow.

Mama to a whole bunch of birds. An unknown # of chicks, 10 EE, 1 RIR, 1 BR, 2 SLW, 3 silkies, 1 Cuckoo Maran, 2 blue cochin, 4 turkens, 2 doms, 6 barnyard babies, 4? black broiler sweeties I can't eat, and 3 embden geese. (36 chickens, 3 geese)
