Hi, I have a rooster that was given to me by a client....he showed up in her yard and no one claimed him so, I took him home.  I thought he was an Ameraucana but am not sure if he is because I think he has a single comb and not a pea comb.  I have 5 hens that he takes care of and one of my hens went broody so I put 3 eggs under her to hatch!  Two of them hatched the other was a dud.  The chicks are yellow with darker spots on its wings and dark brown/black with lighter brown spots on it!  I was so excited to see them:)  Can an

He clearly is a one of a kind rooster and certainly deserves his very own breed description. I would call him a Mahogany Estonian Sliver Head! thumbsup.gif

Mixed breed cockeral. He looks like he'll make nice babies--good layers or meat birds.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!
