a pic would help but those bantams if it was a cockerel would of had a comb and wattle (both red) by the time it was 6 weeks old. again a pic would be best as with what you have said makes me think its a pullet at POL. and yes the cockerels will always make noise

Ok I do hope lucky will be a pullet, I have another one her that looks more like a pullet as she has a very small comb and no wattles, but maybe lucky is a pullet too as could be developing quicker.

some as early as 3 weeks up to a year or longer. it depends on the chicken and if there are other roosters around. i have 2 that i have yet to here crow due to 2 other cockerels in with them

We don't have any other cockerels here as we have neighbours that do not like crowing in the morning.

A picture would let us tell you what sex it is. But this is the age when pullets develop redder larger combs and wattles as they mature. Look at pics of adult hens of the same or similar breed, if your bird looks like that it's probably a girl and should start laying soon-ish

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!
