My Cheap Cheep Coop (pic heavy) - Page 2

Thanks for the reply NovaAman. The coop doesn't sit on the ground, it is raised about 2 feet above ground. We also get loads of snow, but as this sits under a much larger roofed shed, I am not worried about the snow...there won't be any within 3 feet of the coop an any side. As far as the venting goes, the upper triangles on each of the sides will be removed once I have some hard ware cloth to put there, I just don't have any at the moment, so I covered that section to keep the racoons from being able to access the coop. I would rather have them closed up tight for a week or so than dead. The coop isn't airtight by any means, so there is some airflow. :)

I did the floor vents on mine. I was worried that those coons would figure how to get past the hardware! Sorry, it looked like it was on the ground. But anyway, I really do like it. I build mine also, and your pics do a nice job of showing how.
At the very least, wipe the poop off your feet before getting in the car.
