Thanks, It is good to know I'm not alone! It helps to hear from other chicken lovers! My girls are still roosting on the coop roof and I'm still making them go in the coop. The coop and run are small and inside a fence which I call the chickenyard. They free range when I am home then when it gets dusk they go in the chickenyard then up on the coop roof instead of going in the run and into their coop. I would not be able to sleep if I left them up on the roof. I am going to add a larger run to the coop and hope I can entice them with some scratch to go in the run at dusk so I can then close the door and they can either roost in the run or go in their coop whenever they want!
I feel for you, kaziopeeps, my pets( two cats Boo & Sophie and my two chickens Esme & Fiona) are my children too!
