we are as close as the Post office!!!

Eggs arrived in good shape-- thank you.
Good!

I hope you get great hatches out of them, as I'm selling and I'll want to come back to you for eggs in a few years. I'm taking leave for a bit.

I can't handle the losses and have such determined predators in such numbers right now that added to the troubles keeping up with all the birds even with hired help, I'm just toast.

I'm moving trios out to some interested parties and I've sent out eggs over the last month or so to a number of good folks who were interested in working on the project, so there will be different lines to work from. Hopefully everyone will chime in here once in a while.

I currently have 3 trios left, a handful of 14 week-olds, and miscellaneous chicks under mommas, yet to be examined. If anyone is interested, I'm in NE Kansas.

Eggs are rolling in like mad, so those are available, too.

ChooksChick, next year, I will be looking for chickens. I am VERY interested in this new breed. Whatever the price, I would love some hatching eggs. If you're not too far (I'm on my phone so I can't see where you're located) I would happily take a pair or trio, particularly a roo from Moby's bloodline, again whatever the price. As long as you're close enough that the birds will be okay. I'll be moving, but still in Texas. It is HOT here, so heat resistance is a must... But it sounds like that's part of you're breeding.

I understand you are overwhelmed, so if you don't have enough birds, I understand.

Same!^
Very interested

I'm patient and flexible as far as age goes, and bloodlines.
I'm also in Texas.
Thank you!

Wow. Just noticed that you said you're in Kansas. I will even go pick them up, since that is relatively close. We travel to Kansas every year for a family reunion. It'd be super easy to just grab a trio or eggs or chicks, whatever is available, on our way home. I'll take whatever you have, but I would really really love to have a roo from Moby's bloodline.

Hola! I am in Kansas, and yes, heat tolerance for the brutal humid triple-digits is a must!

I have 3 'sons-of-Moby' growing out right now in nearly grown birds, and they are magnificent. I'm getting eggs again, after a mild bout of broodiness. I also have at least 4 pairs in the under 10 week set.

I'm selling the older trios for $100, and will ship. I'm NPIP certified so they'll come with papers.

On the younger sets, I'm doing pairs for $50.

I've decided to sell Moby, too- but haven't decided on the price. He's got bumblefoot, too, so I'm working on that. GIANT FEET. He's goofy.

Definitely let me know if you're going to sell Moby and for what price. He is one gorgeous bird! Do you think you'll continue to allow to hens to hatch out chicks? Perhaps you could invest in a LGD, if you don't already have one? That's my plan.

So excited. My Konza eggs are supposed to arrive today!! I have been interested in these guys for about 18 months and just finished reading the thread. Thanks Renee' for the extras. I will be sure to let you know how the eggs arrived and how they hatch.

I've decided I will sell him. I certainly don't want to eat him, and I cannot have that wolf-howl deep crow in the middle of town! I live a couple of miles from my breeding facility and can't provide my own dog...it's someone else's sheep farm. I would in a heartbeat.

I can't manage the magnitude of the projects with my work and family commitments at this stage, so they must disperse to the winds for a few years. I'm not allowed roosters in town here at home. Lord knows I love this boy, but I can't keep him.

He is prone to bumblefoot due to his size. If you have only rough ground where he will roam, he's not the guy for you unless you wrap his feet with vet wrap. I haven't a clue how much he weighs, but he'll easily take a 4-bird box or bigger just for his burly self. My zip is 66044 if you want to look at shipping estimates. I'd start at 22# for him the box, the bedding and his apples and cucumbers to get him there... pm me and we'll talk if you're serious. I got him from Mark Sacre and drove to Oklahoma to get him...I hope the guy likes travel!

How did they arrive? I hope you got a good shipment by the time they got there. I always worry.
