One of my black sex links layed her first at just under 17 weeks (last week), my other two the same age haven't layed yet but are squatting for me.

LOL! Yes, that is what I found and could have at my grandfather's!  Fart or wind eggs! didn't know they had a name!!! Most all just had whites in them...no yolks and that was about 55 years ago!! Wish I could remember things from yesterday as well as I can remember things from that long ago!! LOL!

Amen... I retired 3 years ago and wonder how I got things done when I was working. Now it seems like there is not enough time in a day and I will lay something down in a conspicuous place and still don't see it.

Mine were right at 5 months when they laid their first eggs. They are RIRs.

Speaking of first eggs, two more of my chickens just started laying today. Not sure who, but they would be either 23 weeks old or 18.
