Are we Silver Laced Wyandottes & are we a roo and a hen? gender & breed idenity confusion

Hi, I am new to chickens and have just acquired these.  I was told they were SILVER LACED WYANDOTTES & I think about 22wks (?).  Also, supposed to be a roo & hen.

Can you guys/gals help me.

I am a little unsure of both sex & breed only because although they do look slightly different from each other, the one that I think is the roo has yet to cock-a-doodle-do, shouldn't he if 22 wks?.  Also, although what is supposed to be the roo does have some lacing on his chest the rest of the body is not laced, nor is the one that is supposed to be the hen.  I am only comparing this to what I have seen on the internet, again, new to this so very curious, because we wanted to raise some babies and if they are SL wyandottes roo & hen then we want to get a couple more hens.

Love this website & forums, have learned so much.  Chickens are my new addiction ; )  appreciate any help - Stacy

Have they went through molt? And are they hatchery chickens?

I have no idea, just bought them from a lady down the road but my guess is no.  I guess maybe I should have gotten more info. but I also bought 6 other younger ones, hens (3-buff orpingtons, 3-RIR).  She did at one point say something about her father getting 100 and then he brought some over to her, so maybe hatchery????

I mean they seem to be fairly good size, i would est. @ 6" tall, 12-13" long  ????

thanks

I'd say yes on the left to right pic, roo then hen, it just seems the lacing should be filled out more, unless they are hatchery  smile.png. Do you know how to identify Saddle feathers? Do you have any pics that are closer and clearer ? Sorry for all the questions, lol.

Cool, I too really think so, but again, why his he not doing his thing yet, cock-a-doodle or trying to mate?  I've read a little about hatchery, but what does that really mean?  Will they not then get really laced up later? and/or if I get a couple more hens more laced will they then make babies that will be more laced?

Nope, what is a saddle feather?

and I can try to get a couple closer up but they are not the most social of chickens, rather skiddish. : (

Saddle feathers are the thin set of feathers right before the tail feathers, some are different in colors

Yes silver laced wyandottes. And yes hatchery quality.. this is very poor quality. Yea roo and hen.
But they are pretty backyard chickens though.

Well, good to know @ roo & hen but not on the poor quality.  If I get a couple more hens, can I get some babies with better quality?
