Two chicks with spraddle leg

I have two chicks with spraddle leg. I am new to this so this is my first time hatching eggs. I have tried putting a band round there legs but instead of there sticking out to the side, they now stick out the back. Is that supposed to happen?

I just did a search and it came up with some great ideas, 1 is to use bandaids cut in half lengthwise then using the padding as a guild to how wide to place them wrap it around till they are in the right spot, I don't know how to post the link but if you do a search on the BYC it should come up.

Its a leg condition where the chicks legs and bent out to each side (looks like they are doing the splits) and it needs to be fixed when the chick is young. Sorry I don't no to much about it except of what I have food on the internet. smile.png
