1.How many times a day should the eggs be turned?

2. Do they have to be turned at the same time every day?

3.When the ducklings hatch do i have to teach them to eat and drink? If so how?

4. How long can they go with out food or water after hatching?

1# 2-3 times a day

2# 2-3 hours different im guessing won't make much of a differene, but maybe try not too have to much of a time differene.

3#Yes you do, just keep tapping the food and water untill they start pecking at it.

4#maybe a day or two.

don't count on me, just what I have read else where, hopfully someone with alot more experience will come along :)

By the way if some one can answer this that will be great, The person the ducklings will be going to have ducks and hens already but the ducks sleep out side (but they have access to the sheds or under the sheds if they want), Anyways if i give the ducklings to the person when they are 8 week old, will they be able to survive?, as it will be december then, so a UK winter when the temp can go into the minuses....

bluntly, maybe, maybe not. winter is no time to toss a duckling outside and hope for the best.

By the way is it ok to buy a incubator and not use it for a few months? or does it have to be used straight away?

many only use their incubators once a year. We runs ours almost year round, with only short breaks, they are large cabinet style bators.
