So this chicken farmer walks into a bar carrying his pet chicken..........

Mama to 2 hens and 1 rooster, 4 dogs~~~2 rescued greyhounds from the racetrack, a hound mix and a rat terrier, both strays.  Newest pet addition...4 hermit crabs...bought 4 more....total of 8 now.

Also "Mimi" to 5 grandkids, who keep me busy going to their school soccer, basketball, volleyball games, community and school plays and dance recitals.

I always heard of beer can chicken, now I have seen one. Is that considered marinating?

Nah, real chickens drink from the can!

George is an Orpington. He now lives with a lady that doesn't drink so I think he's leading Bible Study or something.

Of course I drank after the chicken! Want me to waste a beer? hahaha There's people that drink after their dogs and we all know where that mouth has been. They don't all get treated like pets but that buff is one of my original birds and a favorite. Course the rooster wasn't ever coddled but we all want our roosters to be nice guys, and George is for sure a nice guy. He watched the buff drinking beer and decided he wanted a taste one day so I let him. After that, a beer can and a Come Here George, and here he'd come.

Love those Orps!

I don't care why the chicken crossed the road, as long as mine don't!

I never mentioned it, but that same chicken also loves Diet Coke.

When I first started letting our first chickens out to forage, I'd often make myself a drink in the evening and go let them out. Mrs. Mudd pointed out that to this day, when they hear ice clinking in a glass, they come running.

Works out well -- I might feel silly yelling "heaaar chickchickchick", but I'm sort of used to having a glass in my hand. big_smile.png
