Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

Hey guys, I'm new here to this commnity/forum, and just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Zack, and I'm a proud owner of 3 chickens. One is a Buff Orpington, and the other two I have I believe are Rhode Island Reds. I think. The buff, just laid her first egg today, I was quite excited. The other two chickens I have are around 2-3 months old. I had to get the two other ones because my other Buff died out of nowhere and I had no idea what from. That was just about a week ago. Anyways, I'm almost done building my chicken coop, should be done tomorrow or the next day. Sorry for saying so much, but just wanted to tell you guys what was going on! Talk to you later,
