2 Chicks have dried poo on there bums and bums look sore :( PLEASE HELP

I was out all day and night saturday and had my mom to watch over them change water etc she did a great job but when i came home sunday morning they both have big lumps of poo stuck and dried on there bums and the one especially looks sore and bum keeps twitching but no poo coming out, i bathed the area and cleared up the poop but the one hasnt made a bowel movement yet, the other one has, and the bum area looks like it is slightly sticking out and twitching and im worried.

 

PLEASE HELP!

if you have cleaned them up maybe some olive oil or something of the like to lube and protect the skin around their bum... it'll also keep poop from sticking again.  I hope they feel better soon

I have 13, 6 day old chicks. Had an issue with several having pasty butt for a couple days after arrival. Cleaned them, used mileral oil, acv in water and a bowl of sand for grit and dust bathing. I have had no issues since. Seems pretty common from what research I have done. Hope your little ones feel better soon!

They have both pooped since but still a bit worried they are always twitching?

Zippy007 Pasty butt is common and they will be fine. Try putting  a little apple cider vinagear  in their water this will usually solve the problem. Just a little tho or they won't like the taste and won't drink it. I use about 1 tsp to a quart of water.
