I remember when everyone in mission control wore a short sleeve white shirt skinny black tie and a pocket protector. Sure looks different now.

The family sat down and watched the "Seven Minutes of Terror" video last night before we went to bed. The first thing the kids asked this morning when we got up was "did Curiosity make it?"

Very exciting to me. The things that humankind can do when we put our minds to it!

If Timmy had a German Shepherd he wouldn't have been in the well in the first place.

There's a whole world of differences between propagators and breeders. My goal is to propagate breeders towards the Standard of Perfection.

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, you can make a purse out of it, but it won't be silk. LOL

Maybe in about another 30-40 years I'll get this "being an expert" thing figured out by then. LOL

I love this kind of stuff. It excites me almost as much as poultry lol. I can't wait to tell my kids they have landed on Mars. I'm sure they will have their telescopes out tonight.

Thank you for posting--I was so disappointed that my dialup could manage the coverage. What an exciting time to see great technology at work, and our universe expand before our eyes. My boys ask if someday they will travel like in Star Trek-- I hate to dash their hopes . . so I don't, "maybe"!
