Mars rover - Page 2

I love space and all things space related. Did we land on mars before and something happened to the previous rover?

There's been a few failures I think... the most embarrassing one came when the rover smashed into the face of Mars, completely destroying it.  Turns out the Americans were measuring in yards and the English were measuring in meters.  Whoops.

Sorry for laughing. Such a basic math error can destroy the craft and the mission. Ooops.

Oh Americans... lol.png I believe I was in 6th or 5th grade when my teacher was going over metric and why we should always be on the same page with others and used that as an example.

I know I noticed that when it said they were going to make an attempt at 11:31. Had me thinking.

As far as I can remember we have had several successful Rover missions to Mars and at least one of them is still exploring and maintaining contact with NASA. This mission is quite a bit more complex then the others and is expected to accomplish some new discoveries regarding the possibility of life on Mars.

I'm watching DOOM, with the portal to Mars, and the C24  chromosome that turned everyone into either beasts or super humans. Seems ironic to be watching this when NASA is putting a real craft onto the surface of Mars,

I think a higher powered camera is going to be up and running later in the week.  I don't remember the exact details but on the NASA channel they mentioned something about a camera that will be getting better, color pictures but that it will take a few days to be ready.

My parents had us all go to bed at nine forty-fiveish last night, so unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to throw an impromptu party.

Well, Arielle, according to Starfleet history, Zephram Cochrane performed the first flight with warp drive in the 2060's, so, with the progressions in technology happening every year, I'm continuing to cross my fingers. wink.png
