PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bisquick, Buttermilk, Snap, and Junior's logs (or diaries)

This is a thread that my chickens will 'write' in. :) Every day I'll try and make a new log or diary entry for each of my chickens. :) Enjoy!!!!

Bisquick:

Hi!! I'm Bisquick. I'm a New Hampshire Red, and the leader of my flock of four chickens. :) Yesterday was my birthday, and I had so much fun!!!! Today it rained pretty much all day, but it felt good cause it's so hot out!!!!! Hopefully, tomorrow it will be cooler, but not rain so that Mom can take us out. About a week ago Mom started giving us this new mixture of food. It has our normal food in it, oyster shells, some tasty star food. (little farmer note: cat food) Buttermilk needs the star food because it will help her grow her tail feathers back faster. See ya tomorrow!!

Buttermilk:

Hello!! I'm Buttermilk. I'm also a New Hampshire Red, and usually I'm Bisquick's right hand chicken. Right now I don't have much of a tail cause I've just finished molting, and am growing back my tail feathers. It rained nearly all day!!!! I don't like rain, cause it ruins my feathers. Yesterday was Bisquick's birthday!! We all got anklets. But Bisquick got a little item that goes around her neck that Mommy referred to as a 'necklace'. I want one. Well, g'night!!!

Snap:
Hi, I'm Snapperston, but everyone calls me Snap or Boodles. Mostly Boodles. I'm a very fun chicken. At least that's what Mommy says. I'm the crazy one in the flock. But, enough about me, I'll tell you about my day!! Yesterday was Bisquick's birthday and we all got some anklets!!! Today, I found this yummy worm!!! I have to go cause it's time for bed!!

Junior:
Hello!!! My name is Junior. I'm a Barred Rock, Cuckoo Marans mix. And a hen. I have three other sisters that have previously written before me. Yesterday was Bisquick's birthday. She was so lucky. I like having birthdays. They're fun. But, we got some anklets. Today, lucky Snap got a worm!! I love worms. It rained nearly all day today!!!! See ya tomorrow!!!

well, it has more protein for them than their normal food, but I don't think that it gives them the nutrients to lay eggs, but Buttermilk molted, so I needed her to grow her tail feathers back sooner. ;) I don't give it to them straight up, I just mix some in with their food.

Bisquick:
Today, Mom came out early to take us out. I was so ready!!!!!!! I led the way to steal corn from the pantry (little farmer note: the pantry is the springhouse where I keep their feed and treats.) Snap almost got there!!!! But Mom was making out mixture and she said 'No' to Snap cause she could knock down the oyster shells. :( Man, Mom, we almost had some!! But, a good thing is that she started mixing corn in our food too!!!!! FINALLY, she got some sense into her noggin!!!! Only on special occasions we get to play with our corn ball. (little farmer note: Their corn ball is something that l fill up with corn, then they spill the corn out with the holes in the ball. It's confusing.) And, then when Mom took us out at the evening, Junior and I snuck over to Grammie's gardens (Grammie is my Mom) and we dug up what is left of her flowers in the mulch!!! I said what was left, cause we had already dug there, and we 'accidentally' dug up her flowers. We got to wear our anklets too!! Well, more tomorrow!

Buttermilk:
Mom came to get us waaaaaay too early this morning!! I was still preening my feathers. I like to wake up nice and slow, and then preen my feathers, THEN have a little breakfast. But Mom came right in the middle of preening my feathers. But, it was nice to stretch my wings a little. My tail feathers are growing nice and fast thanks to the star food!!!! When Mom let us out for the evening, Bisquick and Junior were bad, and went and dug in Grammie's gardens. I stood and over-watched the process being done. But then Mom came out, and she shooed us away. :( I was having fun over-seeing the process. Oh well. More tomorrow!!!!  Oh, and P.S: We got to wear our anklets in the evening!

Snap:
Today was super fun!!!!! Mom finally realized that we needed corn in our diet. I tried to tell her to put in more but she said 'No, Snap. It's like candy, you need to eat your healthy food too.' I don't like our healthy food as much. But this morning I almost stole some corn!! Mom told me 'no' cause she said that I could spill the oyster shells!! But, I've spilled the bunnies' two bowls full of food before, so I don't get what would make such a difference. Oh well. I got to wear my anklet during the evening outing!!! And, Mom gave us this bowl of flavory substance called 'gravy' It was yummy, but then it got old. I think Buttermilk liked it the best. Well, see ya tomorrow!!!

Junior:
My WORD!!! Mom came so early this morning!!! But, no matter, cause I was done eating breakfast already. Buttermilk wasn't happy cause she was still preening her feathers. Every single night Buttermilk gets the bunk!!! (little farmer note: the bunk is a block of wood in their cage that they sleep on.) I want it so badly tonight, so I'm gonna make Bisquick tell Buttermilk to give me the bunk, but she probably won't give it up. Ugh, being the youngest is so hard. I got to wear my anklet this evening!!! An-and, Bisquick and I dug in Grammie's mulch gardens!!! Mommy says I'm the queen of mulch!! I hope we can sneak in there tomorrow!!
