I have a 7 week BO named Buffie that I really hope is a pullet but I have a bad feeling that Buffie is a roo.. hit.gif

Here are some pictures, please help me determine what gender Buffie is.

Mother to 2 Buff Orpingtons (Buffie and JLo), 1 Silkie (PT-Pink Toes), and 1 Easter Egger (Choco).

Picked up 3 Black Silkies and a BO on 6/18/12 from Asagi hatchery, 2 Easter Egger and a BO on 7/12/12 from WFS. Gave away 2 Silkies (Kung Pow & DeeDee) and 1 Easter Egger (S'mores) because they were roos.

I think it's a pullet. If she were a rooster she would have bigger comb and the body shape is similar to that of an adult hen.

I was nervous when my BO pullet started showing a red comb like that at about 7 weeks.  At 22 weeks now I know she's a girl for sure.

Yep, pullet.

Here's a splash Orp cockerel at 8 weeks:

Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.
