The main reason is, the incubators are mainly used for chicken eggs and even if a chicken stood up in the bator it most likely wouldn't reach the fan. Unfortunately they never knew that people would be hatching a peafowl egg in it. They should as a precaution add a fan guard to all incubators. I went on GQF manufacturing website and I could not even purchase a fan guard on the website.
The chicks healed and feathers grew back, but I can't remember if the white one that was the worse , grew the head (crown) feathers on the top of his head or not. Yes that little one turned out to be a white peacock. Will add pics of what they look like today on Thursday (my day off)
