Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14] - Page 2

I'm on day two already!  Am I too early to join in the wait?  I have 14 interesting eggs in the bator.  Some blue eggs from white Americaunas, some dark brahma mixed with white and brown americaunas, AND two tiny eggs from my neighbor's "pocket chickens".  She's not sure if they are Seramas or Sebrights, or one of each.  Should be interesting.

The Coop (14)  Hens--  2 RIRs, 2 lavender Orps, 1 Barnevelder, 1 black copper Marans, 1 white Ameraucauna, 3 Brahmacauna mixes, and 2 unknown blue copperish somethings.  Roos--1 light Brahma, 1 Brahmacauna.

Oh, and this is my third hatch also.  I have Black Copper Marans, and two brahmas that are 6 1/2 weeks old, and a pair of lavender Orpingtons that are 2 1/2 weeks old.  I only hatched the 2 out of 12 eggs that time, and had to help one.

My first hatch, I lost my thermometer right after lock down....followed by 2 more thermometers before I finally decided to just rely on my digital/hygrometer...which I still think is a few degrees off because my current hatch hatched 2 days early!

My husband keeps threatening that I'm not going to be the 'Crazy Chicken Lady' but the 'SINGLE' Chicken Lady' if I don't stop hatching! I can't, it's just so much fun!

I give the chicks away to good homes for free when I'm done so it's not like we have a million chickens [although my 6 pullets] are coming Saturday and my Eggs should be here before then. Somehow the 6 chickens my husband decided on has quickly become AT LEAST 16 :D
