Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Hi fellow Michiganders, have you ever experienced your roosters actively chasing off wild turkeys?

Our yard is 100% fenced in, but our boy Trevor noticed a few wild turkeys in the woods outside of it. He ended up doing a bit of a display (flapping his wings loudly, crowing) and subsequently disappeared for about 1.5 hours in the direction of the turkeys.

Is this common? I'd also like to note that Trevor does not have a flock currently, as our pullets aren't big enough to comingle in the yard with him yet. He does know they are there though.

Oh! Well, in that case, you'd probably have to pay someone to do the chores in your stead. Unlike watching and playing with chicks, chores aren't fun!
:lau
I definitely don't have that kind of money!

Currently, my brain is feeling a bit stretched between the new puppy (picked him up in February), new chicks, house chores, building a chicken coop, and garden/outdoor chores. I need to make myself a schedule...
