Anyone ever feed sprouts to their chickens

Lately I have been making and eating a lot of sprouts (chickpeas, lentils, buckwheat, quinoa, etc.). I was just on a website that suggests feeding sprouts to animals -- pets like dogs/cats/reptiles/rabbits and also to wild birds.  So wondered if anyone has had experience feeding specific sprouts to their flock.

Thanks for any info.

Hi
We feed leftover lentils, chickpeas, beans and sprouts to our flock. They love them and I recommend to feed them to your flock too smile.png hope this helps smile.png
Chooks, quails, budgies, cockatiel, pepper the dog and the wild peacocks and bush turkeys, white faced herons nesting and other wilds birds

I give my flock sprouts as often as possible. They weren't too sure about them in the beginning but they love them now. Broccoli and sunflower sprouts are faves. I had read years ago how healthy sprouts were for parrots and people and figured they would be great for chickens, too.

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

My chickens ~ 8 Isa Browns, 3 Black Sex Links, 1 BR, 5 EE's, 3 Cuckoo Marans, 17 FBC Marans, 5 Lt Brahmas. 1 EE Roo. A mixed lot of 12, 16 Wellsummer and 2 Salmon Faverolle chicks.

Other Barnyard ~ 1 Paso Fino, 1 Mule

Other ~ 1 spoiled house cat and at least a handful of foster pups/dogs . . .

Thanks for the encouragement!  I'll toss them some and see what happens.  They are picky (read here spoiled) eaters and turn up their pointy little beaks at goodies that other chickens would devour!
