Alrighty...so ever since we started letting our chickens free range I have been spending more time outside watching them, yes even in this heat. It has been soooo entertaining. I was worried about them getting in the goat pen, and they did, AND they goats love them. I didn't even worry about the cow, I thought NO WAY will the chickens even go near him. Well we have 4 that hang out there all day plus a hen with 4 babies that sleep with him and on top of him. He is so careful not to step on anything with feathers. But the cool thing!!!
Just now while watching my flock and talking on the phone with my mom, two humming birds started buzzing the deck and one even landed on me! I have a little bit of Rose Moss on my deck by no hummbing bird feeders. I told my mom and she asked what I was wearing because they are attracted to bright colors...Well I am wearing DH's gray Black Hawk hockey T-shirt. Not exactly bright colors. lol
I had to share this because I thought it was such a neat thing to happen.
39 chickens of mixed breeds, one Sun Conure, Three dogs, a cow, 2 goats, 4 bunnies, a husband who's idea this was, a 10 yr old boy, and a one way ticket to a padded room for me because they're ALL making me crazy!!!
