This duck was gave to use for free. The person that had her rescued her. They think she is runner X mallard. The duck didn't have water to play in, only to drink. She now has a pan of water that she can climb in and bathe.

Is this from not being able to get into water? What needs to be done to fix it? When can she go in with our flock? Thanks for any help.

Appears  to be a Mallard or Mallard Mix with a case of bumbletoe.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

What is the black thru her webbing? Is that infection or color from being mixed breed? We have her quarantined. We have had her scence Saturday. She was raised with a mixed flock of birds. How long before we can put her with everyone else.

The blk is probably just coloring, it's in some of my ducks too. I wouldn't let her run around with bumble foot or toe, it's staff and can spread to other members of your flock, she needs to be kept in a very clean place and treated . I'll get you some info on how to treat. And good for you for taking her in.

I have Epsom salt and stuff for her feet. How long after her feet are cleared up do we need to keep her seperate. Did her feet get like that from not being able to keep them clean?

Why not try both, do the epsom salt, let air dry then apply the fungal cream. Hit it both barrels and hope one of them works.

We put her in the bath tub for a swim. When we got her out we checked her feet. It doesn't look like scabs. It looks like cauliflower growing out of her toes.

I have a better description for you guys. It looks like when a potato starts growing eyes. The spots are about the same thickness and length when a potato starts growing. They are stiff but flexible. I didn't try to get any off.
