Hi from Lake City, Fl

Hello all, 

I've been a member of the site for awhile now  but have just gotten around to introducing myself.  My kids talked me into getting some chickens and after buying fresh eggs from coworkers, I reluctantly gave in. I have three kids under five, a husband a dog and a full time job.  I didn't think I had the energy for chickens, too. Well, I'm glad they talked me into it, because these girls are HILARIOUS. We started small with a decent size tractor and six pullets (3 golden comets, 3 americaunas).  They are so funny, I love sitting outside watching the grass grow while they run around chasing bugs and each other. My hubby has been great helping out with them,so it has been a definite win-win, until this week........ we got our first two eggs!!!!!!!!!!  Win-win-win!!!     So belated thanks for all the advice I've already read and all that I'm sure I'll get in future!!!

TIME is the best thing to spend on a child!
Always calibrate your hygrometer before you incubate!!
