The link is not working. I don't understand how the velcro works. Should they not be overlapping?

 COOL! Thanks for sharing!

The other day my mom asked if I got her e-mail, I said "no, not yet" she looked disappointed, and said "Oh! I get it, you're too busy on 'backward chickens!" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!

Just realized I never did post a picture of any of my diapers.  Here is one-- I decided not to use velcro and just put in a resin snap.  The bottom part is a laminated fabric you can find at JoAnns.  The blue "bib" part of the diaper is 10 inches long.  I believe it is 3 inches wide at the top, but I gave it a seam allowance so I could sew it and turn it.  Then I added the diaper part which is not supposed to be included in your "chest to vent" calculations.  I measured chest to tail and came up with another 10 inches for the elastic. I just cut two 10.5 inch pieces and sewed them on.  Then I separately sewed on the part that goes on the elastic where I put a snap-- or you can put a piece of velcro.  This just keep the diaper from falling off.  It doesn't need to be super tight, just tight enough.

Which link are you talking about?  This one should work fine:

I am sooo excited about this pattern!  Thank you!  I tried sewing one using a video I saw on You Tube and it fit well but made my chick fall forward.  Not sure if I have to wait till she's bigger but I was glad to see that yours is a different pattern.  Thank you!!  Also the tip about using old bathing suit--That material might be lighter and not wear her down as much.  Great idea.  I'll let you know if it works. This is the picture of my first try.

Lol, sweetie your chicken didn't fall forwards becasue of the nappie, she fell forwards becasue she didn't like the nappie. My pet rooster did the same thing the first time I put his harness on him. Just leave it for a while, she'll get used to it.

Thank you so much for sharing this pattern!! I'm wondering if it could also be used for ducks...I have both chickens and ducks and often wish I could bring some of them in the house. I just picked up 4 three day old Muscovy ducklings this afternoon from a friend.
