6lb vs 3lb hanging feeder

I only have 4 chickens but want a hanging feeder, while i found a store that technically has a 3lb hanger they are OOS and no clue when they will get more.. would a 6lb be too big, overkill? It's for in the coop, they toss the bedding into the ones on the ground trying me bonkers lol

 

Hmmm they are 8.5wks basically, i wish we could get a variety of things more easily here drives me batty.. oh and what level do i hang it?

Nothing says you have to fill it. If your cluckers are anything like ours they won't like it. They like to scratch in their food.

They cannot scratch it now so i don't think they'd know any difference.. just the bedding in the food is silly..
