Columbian wyandottes

I just purchased 5-CW chicks from Cacklehatchery.com ..

I paid $55 for them but worth it to me..they will hatch out next Weds & ship out the same day and get them on Friday.

I'm over the moon happy with getting my babies next week.

.I have had chickens for 7yrs now all from Tractor Supply never any heritage breeds so this is a first for me..I picked this breed not just because they are so beautiful but because they tend to go broody and are good mothers to their chicks..

I have 5-hens and 1-roo right now.. chicks I ordered are pullets as I don't want to have problems with my Roo fighting over his girls..btdt! Plus my Roo was hatched out here (he also has a sister they are the only ones that I have ever had hatched out of all these years of having chickens and I've had many chickens) so he is very special to me along with his sister.

I LOVE my chickens they live a good life free ranging on our 3-acre property doing what chickens do..We don't eat our chickens they are for egg consumption only..of coarse if it came down to a survival thing then we would eat them..I would be heartbroken but that's life.

I'm hoping to start selling my eggs and maybe selling babies at some point as that's the goal anyway.

Will try to get my son to help me load up pictures of them for you all.

I am sure you will be happy with the birds from Cackle. I haven't ever bought their Wyandottes, but the other breeds that I have gotten from Cackle have been most excellent for a hatchery. I have been quite happy with them.

Where did you get your Columbian Wyandottes? Breeder or Hatchery? If hatchery which one did you get them from?

One person got their chicks from Murdoch's. Not sure if that was a hatchery or a breeder.
The other got the chicks from Cackle Hatchery.
