Extra fluffiness (beards, head poofs, feathered legs) leading to extra toes?

So recently I've been looking into getting a Salmon Faverolle, and I have been wondering about the whole five-toe thing. Is this just a genetic trait that happened accidentally? I poked around a little bit, looking at other chickens with five toes and sort of noticed a pattern: alot of the chickens that have beards and feathered legs and ocasionally head poofs also seem to have five toes: for example silkies (bearded, head poofed, and feathered legged), sultans (also bearded, head poofed, and feathered legged), and of course faverolles (bearded and feathered). Are these traits related/linked in some way? Of course on other five toed chicken is the Dorking, and they don't have any of these traits. Any other five toed birds I'm missing? Thanks!

I have five hens and two pullets- one seven year old red star, Luna, one white leghorn, Sage, one SLW, Pepper, one adorable fluffy EE, Bedazzle, and one black star, Buckbeak. My two pullets are Nutella, my wheaten marans, thirty five weeks, (who is yet to lay an egg!), and her best friend, Sammy, seventeen weeks.

Extra fluffiness has nothing to do with exta toes and they are not linked to each other, meaning the seggregate independently...

Probably just a coincidence?
