how to care for silkies properly?

I have a black silkie hen
She gets on the roost every night without a ladder or ramp. The roost is about 4' high. She's 1 year old and a decent layer.

Here is a pic of my first two silkies they are 5 weeks old and the cutest things ever, with so much personality! They do have somewhat different personalities than my other chicken babies did. Can't wait for the fun to begin, it will be interesting to see how this goes as I introduce to my flock. Good luck !
