I need help with gender and color - Ameraucanas

I have 8 Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana.  I thought I had 3 roos and 5 pullets, but now am questioning as I look at their feathers.  Can anyone tell better than I can?  Some are 7-8 weeks and the others are 9-10 weeks old.

I thought this one was a pullet and now am questioning since I see slightly pointy feathers.

The next 2 pics are the same bird.  Girl or boy?

I always thought this was a roo due to coloring, but there aren't any pointy feathers...

I'm pretty sure pullet.

Again, roo due to coloring?

It seems my roos don't have pointy feathers, but the ones I thought were pullets do.  Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive in my view of them?

The last two I think you got right,

I like to look at the comb, if it's started growing and going red i would say roo but if it's still small and creamy then pullet.

Also if you go into the coop and make a noise then most of the time the pullets will be scared but the roos will ignore it,

well thats what always happeneds with mine:))) xxx

That's a great idea about running or ignoring.  I have one pullet who is especially curious, the rest just kind of run away.

That's what I wanted to hear!  Thank you so much.  And, thanks for the color identification, I forgot to ask that in the body of my post.

The saddle feathers might be coming in under the juvenile back feathers but won't be prominent at this age.  You can sex them by color at this age though and I think you were right on with your guesses based on color. So, I'm going with what was said above - pullet, pullet, pullet, cockerel, pullet, cockerel.

Some of the threads on BYC are pretty old- what is good to do is look at the date in the upper left section. I too sometimes forget to look.

I'm confused, I see 4 birds in the photos, and as far as I can see all your guesses are correct.

1. Pullet

2. Cockerel

3. Pullet

4. Cockerel
