New from Southern Oregon

Hello all!

Just moved up here in March of this year and set to work building my chicken pen, and getting my pasture ready for Nigerian goats  I used to raise poultry when I was young but that was a good number of years ago.

I currently have 12 Golden Laced Wyandottes that just started laying eggs.  1 Barred Rock Rooster (couldn't find a GLW roo anywhere) and then was given a pet Dutch Bantam rooster.  The little guy has a wire cage he stays in during the day outside (make shift chicken tractor) and at night he stays in my master bathroom!  Pretty funny as I never thought I would have pet chicken that sleeps in my bathroom.

I have plans to build him a fancy chicken tractor at some point and find him a girlfriend (which might be kinda hard as I don't see many like him).

Anyways nice to find a great forum for chickens and look forward to chatting with everyone!

Here is the bathroom boy who enjoys looking at himself in the mirror.

Fact is I but a mirror in his cage as he really loves to look at himself and chatter.  He was hatched June 1st.
